It may not look like much, but I've managed to power on the heater for the calcium gas source of my ion trap and read back the temperature changes using a thermocouple. Below are two pulses that stopped when it hit 1mV and 1.5mV (about 25K and 38K above ambient). The X-axis is seconds so you can see the thermal heating and cooling times. Using this I'll be able to make a closed loop thermostat for it. #physics
