kcisobderf 2013-12-27 02:06:03 | Hello, I'm running version 446 on an Intel Haswell 4770/z87 chipset. Using Windows 2012 server(64 bit) and onboard 4600 graphics, version 10.18.10.3355(latest). The program(windowed version) either crashes or freezes several times a day. Zerberus 2013-12-27 06:23:02 | Yes, I had frequent hangs with 4.46, too. The author couldn't reproduce the issue at this time. Since you seem to have even more crashes, he'll probably issue a debug version when he shows up. Hopefully we will get to the bottom of the hangs eventually. Could have something to do with 64bit and the WOW64 layer... |
RGtx 2013-12-27 18:05:56 | In just over six months of running v4.46 on a Haswell platform, I've had five or six instances of the dreaded "Muon1 has stopped working. In each instance there was no auto.sav file, so crash occurs early in each simulation. May or may not be relevant is the fact that in over 15,000 simulations not once have I had the ubiquitous "nan" result, so perhaps it may be a problem with the error handling. |
Stephen Brooks 2013-12-27 20:59:16 | I recently found and fixed (in the 4.47 development source) a nasty bug that causes a crash in graphical mode. It has to do with plotting the colour scale in the legend. Do any of you get this crash in commandline mode? |
Zerberus 2013-12-29 01:01:07 | The hangs I have are only in graphical mode. The (rare) crashes do happen in background mode, too (APPCRASH). |
