Skygod 2002-07-10 00:40:54 | New client 4.12 crashes regularly but sporadically, sometimes after processing one unit, once after 17. When I do send data I still get the message that I am using 4.11. Bit confused here, me and the install. I am running Win98SE Pentium 3, 750mhz overclocked to 900 Have been running this setup for last two years MUON1_BACKGROUND caused an invalid page fault in module MUON1_BACKGROUND.EXE at 0167:0040ec0f. kruemi [Swissteam.NET] 2002-07-10 00:59:59 | I had a crash with the 4.12-Client too. But it died silently without triggering drwatson or so (NT4). This happened about 12 hours after i started the client the first time. I just restarted it and it now runs flawlessly! bye kruemi -- Don't read this. And neither this! |
Stephen Brooks 2002-07-10 04:18:32 | Are you using ManualSend.exe to send your results? I've just realised that I didn't recompile this with the new version info, so it still thinks it's version 4.11. This is now fixed in the v4.12 available on the website. Skygod 2002-07-10 04:44:33 | Yes I was using manual send, one problem down, only the major one to go. Just got back after restarting client to see its crashed again. I might go back to 4.11 for a while. At least I will be crunching til the next version. |
Stephen Brooks 2002-07-10 05:19:16 | The version on the download page now includes debugging information, so if you use that, next time it crashes it ought to give me some more useful information. Pascal 2002-07-11 10:55:01 | Some hours ago, the background client craches three or four times on my first machine. But I think it was a failure of mine, I tried some overclocking ___________________________ 1: Athlon TB-C, 1.2 GC/s, 256 MB DDR-RAM, Erazor x², ADSL-Flatrate, NIC Intel, Win 98 SE Mainboard MSI-6380 Rev. 1 2: Pentium III, 600 MC/s, 256 MB RAM, NIC Intel, Win 98 SE |
Skygod 2002-07-12 03:31:51 | Have been running the updated 4.12 for about a day and a half now and I am bitterly disappointed, after all the trouble you went to to include the debugging info, the bloody thing won't crash Whatever you did seemed to fix the prob!! |
pben 2002-07-12 21:29:09 | I had one of the background clients crash tonight. I have just removed the GeForce 4 card and gone back to the old Voodoo 3. So far so good. The odd thing is only one client crashed the other kept on running. I started a second client after about a half hour and it is still ticking. Not much interesting in the system log though. |
