Stephen Brooks 2003-05-14 14:32:05 | You can try it. I've ironed out one bug at least with the queuing system. Over the next week or so I'll probably plot some graphs to see if the new version is preventing these rogue high % results or not. Post bugs and stuff to here. John Kitchen 2003-05-14 15:31:48 | Stephen, what's the parameter - "Use passive (PASV) mode for FTP transfers: N"? John |
[TA]Overkiller 2003-05-14 17:55:33 | i am but a noob. but it might be to go around certain firewalls? |
rsarkezi 2003-05-15 03:56:41 | Hi Stephen, if the question of John is what I'm thinking (passive transfer support) thank: GREATEST THANKS!!! ----------------------------- Be efficient! Team www.it-academy.cc |
Stephen Brooks 2003-05-15 06:22:55 | Yep, firewalls, and especially university firewalls, seem to block all the really _useful_ ports, or at least parts of ports like the active FTP port port. Unfortunately there didn't seem to be a consensus last time I asked over which mode (PASV or not) was better, because someone claimed their server accepted only active-mode connections, although all the firewall people preferred PASV. So I've put it in as an option. Today's weather in %region is Sunny/(null), max. temperature -99999°C |

ZeRoC00L 2003-05-15 13:34:25 | Does this version read the config.txt at every new simulation ??? (so we can make changes without killing client ???) |
Stephen Brooks 2003-05-15 19:12:23 | quote: [reads source] ... Yes, it does read it at the beginning of every new simulation. That may or may not have been in version 4.31b as well (I can't remember). Today's weather in %region is Sunny/(null), max. temperature #NAN°C |
