[TA]Stormgiant 2004-02-17 02:57:02 | Good morning, I dumped some 1.24MB worth of work about 7 hours ago, but it appears partially on the stats. Could it be stuck in one of the ftp's ? I remember that it uploaded the diferent files to about 6 servers. Could you check it out ? TIA Stormgiant |

Stephen Brooks 2004-02-19 12:02:12 | Fortunately Netze's server wasn't listed in your log for the time when you had problems. I was working on a test for the FTP servers this evening at work, and will continue tomorrow. HB Pencils, also sold as "Moron's Choice" Graphite Cigars. |

Stephen Brooks 2004-02-20 02:11:19 | I just tried to send a result to each of the FTP servers and got: blank-it.dyndns.org - Timed out during upload cgmuonftp.homelinux.org - Sent OK drhanser.dyndns.org - Offline; removed from servers.csv now muon.rdsroot.net - Password incorrect; I've e-mailed him about this but no reply so far stephenbrooks.org - Sent OK intheory.ath.cx - Timed out while trying to switch to ASCII mode (?) zeonx.mega-reviews.com - Sent OK keller.kicks-ass.net - Sent OK netze.serveftp.net - Timed out during upload By this afternoon I'll be able to tell if the four that I've sent to OK are letting me download the results to the database again. excaliber[Free-DC.org] 2004-03-05 10:19:56 | Stephen: Not sure about the timeout. Try it again and let me know. I could have been exceptionally laggy that day. Or perhaps its my settings. I'm looking into two things. First, I'd like to move this all over to my perm. host (www.tong-web.com). But I dont have root access to the box, so i'm having a hard time configuring it for ftp access (just sent a message to the admins requesting a change to a user's home directory). If anyone has any tips on how to set it up without root i'd be happy to listen. The server is running ProFTPd on RedHat. I have limited telnet, ftp and a web shell. If I cant get that to work, I'm interested in using a new server software. GuildFTPd has some odd quirks I dont like. Also, I checked my queue and see I have quite a backlog of results (3 days worth). http://intheory.ath.cx/queue.php Thanks again. ------------------ http://www.intheoryforum.com InTheory - Game Design and Idea discussion forum |
