Stephen Brooks 2007-12-30 22:59:06 | Here's the converter. The rationale behind this is that Eb6a is slower but can go in more different directions (more variables/finer control of the design), so if we boost it to where Eb1a has currently speeded ahead to, it might find some interesting stuff. |
[DPC]DanC 2007-12-31 13:56:58 | I hate to be a moron... but the use of the tool seems unclear. When I paste in a result, it just takes me back to the previous page... Is there something missing? |
Stephen Brooks 2007-12-31 14:12:16 | The converted result ought to appear above the input box when you submit the form. If it doesn't, make sure you haven't got a blank line above the result or anything. |
[DPC]DanC 2007-12-31 14:22:33 | Still no good. This is what I see: </p> <button type='submit'>Calculate</button> </form> </body></html> No submit button - just the html for it, displayed in the box. |
Xanathorn 2007-12-31 14:25:05 | Yep same here, either in Internet Explorer and Firefox. Made a screenshot too: |
Xanathorn 2007-12-31 14:27:04 | That didn't go well: http://www.xanathorn.demon.nl/muon/weird_converter.jpg |
Xanathorn 2007-12-31 14:28:26 |
Xanathorn 2007-12-31 14:30:10 | Lol ur not the only moron today DanC, I can't seem to get simple html code right today . |
Stephen Brooks 2007-12-31 14:31:32 | Oh I see, it was browsers other than Opera not liking a self-closing textarea HTML tag (for a blank text area). Both that and genome distance calculator work now. |
[DPC]DanC 2007-12-31 14:31:52 | Yep.. thats EXACTLY what I'm seeing, except mine displays the "Enter genome from PhaseRotEb1a" above the box. |
[DPC]DanC 2007-12-31 14:34:25 | Ahhh... much better. Thank you Stephen! Happy New Year to you! |
K`Tetch 2008-01-01 00:31:27 | Oh these non-standards compliant browsers, stephen, when will people upgrade to something that follows the rules? |
Stephen Brooks 2008-01-09 15:11:46 | I've just put my new highest-scoring 3.325% result through this converter, might help PhaseRotEb6a along a bit. |
Stephen Brooks 2008-01-09 15:57:22 | Only came out as 3.241538% in Eb6a, perhaps the converter isn't 100% correct. I think the channel lengths might have changed slightly. Still, this gives Eb6a room to find its own optimums without too much interference from seeding. |
RGtx 2008-01-11 01:14:37 | Come on Stephen, play the game. Your highest-scoring 3.325% is the result of only a single run. Wondering why, I was not even approaching your score, I repeated your genome and for 5 runs, only achieved 3.307734%: d1l=010;d2l=337;d3l=018;d4l=000;d5l=042;d6l=000;d7l=000;d8l=050;d9l=192;db1l=005;decaycells=432;pd1=000;phaserotcells=624;prf1p=169;prf1v=932;ps1f=989;ps1l=607;s1f=999;s1l=888;s2f=957;s2l=685;s2r=684;s3f=850;s3l=152;s3r=754;s4f=853;s4l=392;s4r=592;s5f=657;s5l=000;s5r=612;s6f=167;s6l=668;s6r=682;s7f=140;s7l=364;s7r=575;s8f=819;s8l=829;s8r=527;s9f=995;s9l=472;s9r=544;sb1f=066;sb1l=831;sb1r=369;tantalumrodr=065;tantalumrodz=495;#runs=5; 3.307734 (2089.6 Mpts) [v4.44c] <PhaseRotEb1a> {BB081D122C3EC78BF3C7734B} #gen=6;#runs=1;d1l=010;d2l=337;d3l=018;d4l=000;d5l=042;d6l=000;d7l=000;d8l=050;d9l=192;db1l=005;decaycells=432;pd1=000;phaserotcells=624;prf1p=169;prf1v=932;ps1f=989;ps1l=607;s1f=999;s1l=888;s2f=957;s2l=685;s2r=684;s3f=850;s3l=152;s3r=754;s4f=853;s4l=392;s4r=592;s5f=657;s5l=000;s5r=612;s6f=167;s6l=668;s6r=682;s7f=140;s7l=364;s7r=575;s8f=819;s8l=829;s8r=527;s9f=995;s9l=472;s9r=544;sb1f=066;sb1l=831;sb1r=369;tantalumrodr=065;tantalumrodz=495; 3.325441 (417.2 Mpts) [v4.44c] <PhaseRotEb1a> #time=80219; by Stephen_Brooks Only, then did I notice your duplicity. |
Stephen Brooks 2008-01-11 20:54:36 | Doh! I bet that was produced while I was trying to debug the bug I fixed in v4.44d and hard-wired the rechecks down to 1 at one point to get a reproducable simulation a bit faster. I didn't realise it had gone into the results.txt nor that it was above the highest! I'll remove it when I get in to work next week. |
Stephen Brooks 2008-01-14 10:23:05 | It's gone now. |
