[ARS]odessit 2002-08-17 12:36:56 | stats are run by Stephen whenever he can/wants. Usually it is couple times per day time and couple times in the evening (England time?) with evening updates more frequent. Intel P3-M 866 MHz Duron 1000 MHz XP 1600+ @ 2000+ |

Stephen Brooks 2002-08-18 04:47:05 | The stats are done once per hour whenever my computer is online. However for 31 hours recently my ISP took my connection down (no idea why), but the stats are back up again now. [ARS]odessit 2002-08-18 07:50:16 | I did not realised that the stats are done this often, I remember reading it was couple times per day and more often in the evening. or something along these lines... Intel P3-M 866 MHz Duron 1000 MHz XP 1600+ @ 2000+ |
Stephen Brooks 2002-08-18 09:36:04 | At one stage it was. I didn't want people to _expect_ hourly updates because sometimes I don't keep my computer on 24/7 (e.g. in the episode with the thunderstorms a few weeks back). However it seems happy running continuously for now, although I'm going to have to rethink the stats-counter because recounting the ENTIRE database (of increasing size) is taking 5-6 minutes now. If I have 10x more results it'll be impossible to still do hourly stats on this 400MHz PC, but actually recounting ALL the stats is a dumb way of doing it and at some stage I'll just count the new additions. Uptime counter reports... 7 days 01:51:38.994 169.86 hours 2474245C 000000A9:E13D60E7 ...not bad for Win98SE running a fair bit of stuff! Pascal 2002-08-24 05:02:27 | The last update of the stats was at 9:05 UTC. Did you see that, Stephen? ___________________________ Member of www.rechenkraft.net - German Website about Distributed Computing Projects 1: Athlon TB-C, 1.2 GC/s, 256 MB DDR-RAM, Erazor x², ADSL-Flatrate, NIC Intel, Win 98 SE Mainboard MSI-6380 Rev. 1 2: Pentium III, 600 MC/s, 256 MB RAM, NIC Intel, Win 98 SE |
