RGtx 2005-11-07 08:12:46 | Being a new member, I was just browsing the forums, using IE7 beta, and found that the antiphishing filter highlighted some but not all pages as a "Suspicious Website". Should I, again, find my bank account severely depleted, I shall no longer have to accept responsibility. Also your Browser Wars software claims IE7 to be Netscape, perhaps this subtle accusation that MSoft. is guilty of plagiarism, has miffed them a little? |
Stephen Brooks 2005-11-07 09:50:43 | It probably says anything containing the "iframe" tag is suspicious, to be honest, or some other quirk that I've used that it doesn't like. IE7 isn't currently supported in BrowserWars, but I can add it. Go to http://stephenbrooks.org/games/browserwars/?modal=idtest and see how it is processing the string. |
RGtx 2005-11-07 10:07:16 | User agent string: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 7.0b; Windows NT 5.1; .NET CLR 1.1.4322; .NET CLR 2.0.50215; Avalon 6.0.5070; WinFX RunTime 3.0.50215) Homogenised form: mozilla40(compatible;msie70b;windowsnt51;netclr114322;netclr2050215;avalon605070;winfxruntime3050215) Detected as: Netscape |
Stephen Brooks 2005-11-08 16:13:01 | OK, new team now added, I think. [edit] Try posting a counter - does it detect IE7 properly now? |
RGtx 2005-11-10 14:38:27 | IE7 is detected correctly, thank you Stephen. Just a thought, you may like to move this thread, Persons considering joining this project, and there are a number out there looking for new projects with Find-a-Drug closing in the near future, may be a little deterred by this thread's title. |
Stephen Brooks 2005-11-11 03:21:23 | I was thinking of putting it in the Browser Wars forum anyway (but will you be able to find it here?) Annoyingly, no sooner had I done that IE7 icon when someone I know told me he was using "Opera 9 technical preview"! Looks like I'll have to do another logo soon. That's interesting about Find-a-Drug. I noticed a slight increase in hits on this site recently (counter went over 1 million, and rapidly to 1.1 thereafter, though I'm not getting extra bandwidth charges so it can't be all that bad). |
RGtx 2005-11-11 03:55:04 | There is a thread on the Find-A-Drug forum entitled Other DC Projects, where you could post an introduction to this project, and maybe attract a few new recruits. David Baker of Rosetta@Home condescended to recruit via this means, and his pitch appears to have gone down well. |
