Stephen Brooks 2002-07-30 02:00:16 | Well I don't know. I came back home yesterday to find that lightning had struck very near our house and had blown our video recorder and the first two ports on the home router, so I had no internet access. Just this morning I heard from my dad that he could plug the computers into ports 3 and 4 and the internet would work again, but with the current weather I didn't like the idea of leaving the computer with the only copy of the results database running unattended. I'll run the stats program again at around 1900UTC today, but for now, just to prove that your results are still there on the server: "As every 11-year-old kid knows, if you concentrate enough Van-der-Graff generators and expensive special effects in one place, you create a spiral space-time whirly thing, AND an interesting plotline" |

Stephen Brooks 2002-07-30 11:33:32 | Well I'm connected to the internet again now, so there will hopefully be stats updates at least once per day for a while. Unfortunately there will be stormy weather for the rest of this week so I'm not so happy about leaving this computer on 24-7.
