| Stephen Brooks 2005-08-26 08:04:34 | I'll have to wait until after the weekend - the script is currently doing a recount of the entire database, which could take 18 hours or something like that. If you've been looking closely you'll see the stats went "flat" after I'd dealt with the first bug, which meant that new files were going to the wrong places. I've now fixed that second problem and the big recount is now to get rid of all corruptions. The next thing I have to think about is what to do when some files go over 2GB and I get 32-bit integer overflows...  |

| Stephen Brooks 2005-08-26 09:29:00 | I can't say exactly when, but it will. I expect it'll be done by the time I come back in on Monday to put these scores in. Incidentally I just restarted it because I found _another_ bug - it was leaking memory about 50-100MB for every 1GB of results it parsed. Hopefully now it's not leaking and that should also improve stability. I'm just going to check that bug hasn't gone into Muon1 too, as it's in a shared library. |

| Stephen Brooks 2005-09-09 03:48:15 | I found my stats-refunding was only working in rawstats.txt and not in simplestats.txt, so if you were looking at the qik.nl site, you would have seen your losses from *May 2004* (when I had these problems last) added on as well! Which is about as much again as you had added this time, so it would appear double. |

Yes, that should appear in the next update. The reason some of you are experiencing minor losses after the bugfix is that the stats server does not count all the results at once, so will have to wait for files to be 'touched' (i.e. you send in a result from a certain lattice) for the totals to be updated to their correct values. |

DanC's losses are interesting as the [DPC] version of DanC doesn't even have particularly large files (<20M , and normally I tend to think these corruptions happen on the longer files. |

I did this so that I can know exactly when and how much I'm sending in.
