Anyone else here using the Zone Alarm firewall ?  It prompted me to allow the send, and I permanently authorized it to do so, but the FTP still fails to happen unless I shut the wall down.  Does Zone Alarm have to have the authorization ok'd for the Server function too ?  How are others setting their Firewalls up to accomodate the send ?  Spanks

If you want to upload something to the internet, ZoneAlarm sees your computer as a server.  If you do not allow this, the error message comes again and again.

I have ZoneAlarm (free version) , and it only has "Allow Connect" on.  It works fine.  Are you sure you don't have the lock or anything on?

Pascal, "Allow Server" means to have Zonealarm allow other computers or servers to initiate a connection to your program.  It doesn't need that, as the FTP program initiates a connection.

I've got ZA pro, and it only asked me to allow the first time I tried to send.  Since then, it's been quiet, even after switching to newer versions.
