So I guess the most likely explanation is that they chose "Phoenix" because it 'sounded cool', without doing a Google for others using that name. I am of two minds as to if the Moz deriviatives should be split into categories (as are the other big browsers) or if they should be banded together to overcome all That IS EVIL!! Bwuhahahahah!!! Hence no separate logo for it. Part of their strategy has become that they keep everything all under one brand.
