Hello,

after publishing v4.3c, I decided to replace all my boxes with the new client version.
While doing so, if found one box calculating since about 3 days without writing any result.  The reason for this is not a 33MHz 486 CPU Wink, but a never seen number of rechecking quarantined results.
Look at the current snapshot:

quote:
t = 27.15ns (17997/40950 particles)
Auto-saving...
t = 46.35ns (22099/47477 particles)
Auto-saving...
t = 62.68ns (24595/51595 particles)
Auto-saving...
t = 77.69ns (26637/54557 particles)
Auto-saving...
t = 91.92ns (27762/56855 particles)
Auto-saving...
t = 105.58ns (26226/58617 particles)
Auto-saving...
t = 200.00ns (352/59038 particles)
Quarantined result has now been run 19 times
New simulation
Rechecking quarantined result
Interpreting lattice file...
Beamline consists of 53 units
Adding components to simulation space
Tantalum rod source data loaded.
CSV read complete
Done
Determining nearby components...
- Starting -
t = 13.46ns (14783/34333 particles)

Has anybody ever recognized this number of rechecking results?
And if, what could be the reason?  Is there anything going wrong on this machine?

Regards,
Herb

Take a look at the config.txt of that client.  What number does it say after 'Rechecks for best-so-far results (min.  5):'?
If it's less than 20, there seems to be something wrong, otherwise it's normal that it's still rechecking.
