Jim Reed 2002-08-05 05:55:33 | Stephen, I've manually uploaded 4 sets of results for V4.2, but only the first two uploads were reflected in the statistics. The first two uploads contained a total of 230 results. I uploaded Friday and Sunday around 12:00 UTC, but the statistics still show me at 230 results when the real total should be over 500. I have not changed my user.txt or even stopped and restarted the muon1 program since starting V4.2. I made copies of the results.txt files before running manualsend.exe, so I can resend them if that's appropriate. I'm still crunching, but I'm reluctant to send more results if they are getting lost along the way. Let me know how to proceed. Thanks, Jim |
Stephen Brooks 2002-08-05 06:32:37 | On Sunday I did some checking of results, which meant that a few people's v4.2 totals will have gone down because they used to have v4.13 results counted in those files by mistake. You could try uploading the last results a second time to see if they arrive. "As every 11-year-old kid knows, if you concentrate enough Van-der-Graff generators and expensive special effects in one place, you create a spiral space-time whirly thing, AND an interesting plotline" |
Jim Reed 2002-08-05 07:47:48 | I'll make sure there wasn't a mix of v4.13 and v4.2 in the file and upload it again (probably around 12:00 UTC tomorrow). |
Jim Reed 2002-08-06 06:01:06 | I combined my copies of the missing results.txt files, uploaded, and the statistics are now correct. Case closed. |
Jwb52z 2002-08-07 12:40:52 | Stephen, just how is the statistiics list organized? It says I am in 69th place, but I am number 137 on the list. What's going on? |
Pascal 2002-08-07 12:45:06 | @Jbw52z: you are 137th in the list because of the simulated numbers of particles. You are 69th because of the 69th best yield of all. ___________________________ 1: Athlon TB-C, 1.2 GC/s, 256 MB DDR-RAM, Erazor x², ADSL-Flatrate, NIC Intel, Win 98 SE Mainboard MSI-6380 Rev. 1 2: Pentium III, 600 MC/s, 256 MB RAM, NIC Intel, Win 98 SE |
