S_Garbe 2002-08-08 13:04:47 | manualsend attempts to create the directory "v4.2" (actual Muon-Version) it already exists it changes the target-directory to "v4.2" now it uploads the results.txt - every user - every computer same file, same directory - and then renames the file - if two computers transfer at the same "moment" (some minutes for large files and slow connections) - booom if only a few users are at the project the chances are small but with the inceasing number of users the chances grow fast there are two possible solutions: 1. rename the file first and then transfer it 2. create a subdirectory for every user and every computer - maybe every User can create a file node.txt with an unique (for this user) node-number in it - then you can create a directory USERNAME_NODENUMBER Greetings Stefan Member of www.rechenkraft.net |

Stephen Brooks 2002-08-09 07:25:34 | Yeah, this was a bug that I noticed about a week ago when people started complaining about "missing blocks". It is part of the reason why v4.21 is released. This is also why this version took so long to debug - the upgrade involved the stats server and the whole system rather than just being a change to the simulation.
