Pascal 2002-05-19 03:06:27 | What's your strategy with the results.dat? Is it good to have many results (good and bad at all) or only some good results (perhaps above 1.9 %)? How do you do that? ___________________________ 1: Athlon TB-C, 1.2 GC/s, 256 MB DDR-RAM, Erazor x², ADSL-Flatrate, NIC Intel, Win 98 SE Mainboard MSI-6380 Rev. 1 2: Pentium III, 600 MC/s, 256 MB RAM, NIC Intel, Win 98 SE |
Stephen Brooks 2002-05-19 14:55:27 | I just leave all of the results produced so far in the results.dat file - there isn't any reason to remove the low results because I've programmed Muon1 to virtually ignore the low-scoring ones anyway. |
gogomaus 2002-05-20 10:08:15 | Keeping everything in your result.dat will give you the best approach for slow, but broad evolution. So did I from start on. But now I try to find some more specific results while using only a selected "genome-pool". I collected only results for zrsc >= 590 and > 1% muons (thanks to Marcel Anliker from SwissTeam for some 1.8++% results). Twice a day I take away manually all results zrsc<590. It´s obviously an incest breeding, but I want to know, whether there are existing any good results for this zrsc-range at all. |
Pascal 2002-05-23 09:27:17 | @gogomaus: Interesting thing, you do. But for what reason do you decide to throw the results especially with the parameter zrsc and the value 590 away? ___________________________ 1: Athlon TB-C, 1.2 GC/s, 256 MB DDR-RAM, Erazor x², ADSL-Flatrate, NIC Intel, Win 98 SE Mainboard MSI-6380 Rev. 1 2: Pentium III, 600 MC/s, 256 MB RAM, NIC Intel, Win 98 SE |
gogomaus 2002-05-23 11:09:20 | @pascal there are a lot of top results around zrsc 587, most of them generated by your Rechenkraft- and SwissTeam. I did not want my computer to copy or add further results in this region, but just look for maybe another "mountain" for zrsc-values = 590 or higher. It was not too successful, but I got a lot around 1.9+%. I think both values zrsc and rotrsc to be crucial for good results. Have a look to my post at the Topic "new muon versions". Bye, bye |
Pascal 2002-06-01 12:06:39 | Actually, we're on version 4.11. Would it be good to get all results together - perhaps on the website, that everyone can download some different results? ___________________________ 1: Athlon TB-C, 1.2 GC/s, 256 MB DDR-RAM, Erazor x², ADSL-Flatrate, NIC Intel, Win 98 SE Mainboard MSI-6380 Rev. 1 2: Pentium III, 600 MC/s, 256 MB RAM, NIC Intel, Win 98 SE |
